Before the buzz created by the BlackBerry about its new name, new devices, and the new mobile operating system could mild down, the company once again becomes a headline-making material.
BlackBerry has release the first OS update for its new and recently launched BlackBerry 10 operating system.
The update is named BlackBerry 10.0.10.85 that is going to make so many improvements in a device running on BlackBerry 10 platform.
Among the biggest improvements is the camera performance. The BB10 update makes the camera of the BlackBerry Z 10 much sharper and able to take batter pictures in low-lighting conditions.
"We've optimized the camera for better photos in low-light situations. You'll love the difference this makes for photos where you don't use a flash - like the Time Shift Camera feature," an official blog post says.
The Time Shift Camera feature lets the user choose the picture's best moment as it takes a series of shots out of which the user is never going to miss the best timing for the shot.
With the update, the company also fixes the pending issues in the BlackBerry 10 related to Gmail calendars. The synching of you mobile data with other online sources has also become easier and faster with the update.
BlackBerry has kept the battery improvement in mind while developing the update and it has "included a number of battery life optimizations with over 60 battery saving improvements since launch to keep you moving."
Another big thing about the update is the improved performance of third party applications to make the applications run faster and smoother.
"With this update, you might want to keep an eye out for some fresh new app launches in March, like WhatsApp," the blog post states.
The update is available over the air (OTA) and will be fed to all the respective devices running on BlackBerry 10 in some weeks across the world.
The update will be a cake-walk and will be done by following just a few steps.
Settings> Software Updates> Check for Updates> - then follow the on screen steps to install.
