The release of Samsung Galaxy S4 is just around the corner and the rumors about the specifications of the smartphone are still doing rounds.
Although most of the specs of the upcoming phone under the Galaxy series are common in many reports, the CPU or the processor is still in question.
Many people were thinking so far that Samsung, like earlier, will bring out two different version of the phone making it different for U.S. and the European market. However, a recent report contradicts those speculations.
According to a SamMobile report, the Samsung Galaxy S4 is going to be a world phone, and the South Korean company will use only one processor for all the Galaxy S4 handsets.
"Somebody with a Galaxy S IV has just performed an Antutu benchmark and revealed all the specifications of the device," the report says.
According to the benchmark report, Samsung Galaxy S4 will be powered by Samsung's own Exynos 5 Octa system on chip (SoC) processor. Exynos Octa 5410 CPU has eight cores and is clocked at 1.8 GHz.
The use of Exynos Octa processor will let Galaxy S4 support all kinds of network such as GSM, CDMA and LTE. The benchmark result also shows the same.
Galaxy S4 is going to have ARM's PowerVR SGX 544 MP graphics processing unit with a 2 GB RAM.
If Samsung is going to use only one processor for all the Galaxy S4 devices, the model number is going to be one GT-I9500. Earlier, Samsung used to release two different models of its phone supporting two GSM and LTE networks.
In the case of Samsung Galaxy S3's case, the company released two devices with model numbers GT-I9300 and GT-I9305. While GT-I9300 was a device supporting GSM network, GT-I9305 was a device compatible with LTE network.
"One variant used to have GSM connectivity and the other one had LTE connectivity but this is not the case with the Galaxy S IV. The Galaxy S IV will be a world phone," SamMobile reports.
The benchmark test also reveals one more thing about the phone - the home button. Earlier reports suggested that Samsung might do away with the physical home bu
Apart from the processor and the GPU, the benchmark report doesn't hold anything new, as far as the specifications of the phones are concerned.
The other specs of the Galaxy S4 are the same as they were reported in earlier rumors and some news reports.
The upcoming device is going to have 4.9-inch full HD 1920x1080 pixel display. The main camera of the smartphone is going to be a really powerful hardware with 13 mega pixel capacity and LED flash. A 2 megapixel front-facing camera will also be there for voice chat.
Samsung Galaxy S4 will run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box and come in six different versions.
The devices will be available with three different storage capacities such as 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB, and two colors - White and Black.
Although none of the specifications are confirmed by Samsung so far, we just have to wait for only some days as to see what Samsung Galaxy S4 has inside it.
