Lenovo faced a big disappointment with the launch of its ThinkPad, however the company at last realized the problems with the laptop and now has come out with an all new laptop in the ThinkPad series, the ThinkPad T431s.
Lenovo announced the new devices at the Engadget Expand event held in San Francisco.
The T431s is an advanced and lighter version of the earlier ThinkPad and looks almost like its predecessor.
The Ultrabook features a 14-inch with a 1,600 x 900 matte display and 250 nits of brightness. The system is powered by an Intel Core i5-3337U processor clocked at 2.7GHz supported by a 4GB of RAM.
It will also come with an Intel HD Graphics card. It will also have a beefy storage with a 320GB 5,400 RPM hard drive and the user can choose between Windows 7 or Windows 8 operating systems. The ThinkPad's another version is more powerful and faster as it comes with a Core i7 CPU supported by a 12GB of RAM and a solid state drive.
Lenovo tried to revive a dying series of its laptops by trying to revive it, but the company somehow failed to give the ThinkPad T431s a look that current generation of laptops features.
The T431s still looks as old as its predecessor and the looks and design of the device don't appeal, as far as new generation is concerned.
The new hinges with 180 degree extendibility look very fancy that you hold your device flat against a wall, floor or the ceiling but the move doesn't serve any purpose as it is a laptop and not a flat-screen LED or LCD TV.
The UltraBook is going to be available for the U.S. user in April for $949. The price, according to the features Lenovo is going to offer with this Ultrabook, is slightly higher as Apple's MacBook Air is also available in the same range. Moreover, the MacBook Air offers more advanced features than the ThinkPad T431s. The only thing MacBook Air fails to deliver when compared to ThinkPad 431s, is a couple of inches in the display size.
