Big ears headphones have become cool again; no one any longer wants to plug some tiny buds into their ears and not even hear good quality beats. Furthermore, the days of wires are coming to an end; it's all about wireless now.
Bluetooth headphones are no longer second-class citizens to wired headphones. Yes, one has to pay premium to get quality sound from a Bluetooth headphone, but it's the convenience that matters most, and knowing there's not a single wire getting all tangled up somewhere.
The following are the best of the best Bluetooth headphones available:
Logitech UE 9000: ($489.99 Amazon)
Logitech is known for coming up with some splendid wireless headsets and headphones over the years, but this is one of the company's best. The device gives Beats Audio-style bass, the sound quality is respectable and the design is pretty comfortable. The headphones sometimes suffer from choppy audio, something that shouldn't be an issue for the amount of cash Logitech is asking. Furthermore, this bad boy is bulky; don't expect to wear these for long periods, unless you have a gigantic power head.
Nokia Purity Pro by Monster: ($349.00 Amazon)
Here is one of the best Bluetooth headphones available for everyday use. You'll find the Nokia Purity Pro to be light, compact, well balanced audio and long battery life. It also comes jam packed with NFC so users can easily pair it with another NFC device such as the Lumia 920, along with noise cancelling. Nokia and Monster have come up with a masterpiece, one that every smartphone owner should be carrying around.
Beats Wireless: ($279.00 Amazon)
Not the best Bluetooth headphone, but it is affordable and comes with the Beats logo on the outside of each earphone; teenagers would enjoy that. The quality is average at best, and the design is all plastic and no substance, but at the end of the day, it's the price of the product that matters here.
Sennheiser MM 550-X: ($459.95 Amazon)
On a tight budget? This Bluetooth headphone is not for you. However, for those lucky enough to afford it, the Sennheiser MM 550-X could just be the one headphone you've been searching for. The design is great, the build is solid as expected, playback is impressive and there's also active noise cancellation similar to the Purity Pro. But if you want to listen to very loud music, you won't get that here, which is the biggest disappointment of all.
The Bluetooth headphone scene is filled with choices, but these four are the best. Do you disagree with that sentiment? Shoot off in the comments.
