The rumors about the Motorola X phone took a very short break and they are back again, and with more details. Hopefully, the details are becoming more reliable.
So far, it was only about the specifications and the design of the phone that were the main parts of the rumors, but in the last couple of reports, the U.S. carriers have also become a part of them.
According to the regular leakster on Twitter @evleaks that posted some pictures of the alleged X phone, a prototype of the phone is being tested on the AT&T network. The pictures show some of the details about the phone, including its name.
We cannot say anything about the design of the phone, as the device shown in the pictures is covered in a black rubber case. The pictures show the Motorola logo at the top left corner of the phone with the AT&T branding just below it, but the branding is placed in the screen so it appears only when the screen is lit.
The applications page also confirms the availability of the AT&T network, as it shows the myAT&T app and the 4G LTE logo right next to each other.
We could not see the back of the phone clearly in the picture, but @evleaks claims that the print on the back reads "Model: XFON ATT."
This is not the first time the X phone has been connected to AT&T in rumors. Late last month, Android and Me reported that the device from the manufacturing units of Google-Motorola will make its debut in August and the smartphone will be exclusively available on AT&T for the first three months before its global launch in November.
Earlier rumors about the smartphone were hinting at the Google I/O as its launch event but later many rumors came out differing with the launch story.
The Motorola X phone was also said to be running the next version of Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie and it was rumored that the device will be used as the launch-pad for Key Lime Pie.
