The next much awaited product from the manufacturing units of Google-Motorola is the X phone without any doubt. But the name of the phone keeps changing without every incoming rumor.
This time, the phone's name is not given, but the model number of the device has been spotted in a document from National Communications Commission.
A tech blog, Phonescoop, managed to get a document that it claims to be coming directly from FCC's website that shows the model number the design of a smartphone.
The model number given is XT 1058 that is believed to be related to the X phone. The phone was certified with AT&T LTE bands, in addition to 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC.
The rough sketch of the smartphone shows the same design that was shown in earlier rumors.
The connection between Motorola and AT&T is gaining strength in rumors related to the X phone. There are some reports that suggest that Motorola is going to release the X phone exclusively on AT&T for the first three months from its release.
On the first day of this month, the same kind of device was spotted in an AnTuTu benchmark test.
The benchmark showed Motorola XT1055 with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor clocked at 1.7GHz and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. The device believed to be designed for the U.S. market scored 18252 in AnTuTu.
The model numbers given in FCC document and found from the AnTuTu test are very similar and the small difference in the model code can be because of the LTE support offered by AT&T.
An earlier report released late last month had suggested that the X phone from Motorola will be making its debut in August this year.
According to a report from Android and Me, the X phone will be launched in August and AT&T will have its exclusive rights for the first three months. For other carries and direct buyers, the smartphone will be available only in November.
The X phone is said to be coming with an all time activated voice control that will allow users to give voice commands to the phone. Another rumored feature of the device is predictive intelligence that will launch applications and features of the phone by the way the user holds or uses it.
