Nexus 5, an updated version of Nexus 7 or an updated version of Nexus 4? People are still wondering as to which device they can see at the Moscone Center in San Francisco on the final day of the Google I/O 2013.
According to new rumors, however, all these three devices will not be there at the three-day conference at all.
Android and Me has reported that a white color version of the LG-made Nexus 4 will be launched next month, but there won't be any difference between the new and old Nexus 4 devices, apart from the color.
The team of Android and Me managed to get their hands on the white Nexus 4 at the Google I/O 2013 and got to know about its release - it's tipped for June 10 on the Google Play store.
As there are also rumors about the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean making debut the same day, there is a clear thing that the white Nexus 4 will be found running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with support to Bluetooth Smart.
The Nexus 4 and Nexus 7 devices were also found running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean on the server logs of Android Police. According to Android Police, its server logs show hits from Nexus 4 and Nexus 7 devices running on "Android 4.3," also listed as "build JWR3B." The IP ranges from the hardware reportedly lead back to Google employees working with Android. Moreover, comments in Google's Chromium bug tracker also include references to software with theJWR3B build number.
The Nexus 4 recently got a minor design update to increase the protection of the device from sudden drops and bumps. Google had quietly released the updated version of Nexus 4 late last month and the device had tiny rubber nubs around the back edge so it can be prevented from slipping off a table top because of its glass back.
It is not sure whether the white version of the Nexus 4 will have these 'rubber protection' but the new color version is definitely going to lure some more customers to the Google Play store.
