Samsung seems to be in no mood to slow down its onslaught on the smartphone market and new reports claim the Korean giant is hard at work on the new Galaxy Note 3 phablet device that is scheduled for release sometime in 2013.
Nothing concrete is known about the device, however, a Samsung executive has apparently confirmed the existence of Galaxy Note 3 in a recent interview.
According to ETNews, Samsung Electronics is planning to release the Galaxy Note 3 in the second half of 2013, if everything goes according to plan. Furthermore, the device could come with a 13-megapixel camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), a feature we first saw in the Nokia Lumia 920 and HTC One. In addition, the device could also come with a new shutter technology and 3x optical zoom.
Never in the history of smartphones have we seen a device with optical zoom, and if Samsung manages to pull this off, the company could very well change the smartphone industry forever. Still, do not get your hopes up for the 3x optical zoom feature as it's going to b a challenge making it work on a thin device. It might happen, or it might not happen.
Recent rumors have claimed that the Galaxy Note 3 might come with a flexible display, then another claiming otherwise. Furthermore, another rumor popped up with an image that is said to have been taken by the Galaxy Note 3. Also, reports have surfaced that the Galaxy Note 3 will be powered by an eight-core Exynos 5 Octa processor with a quad-core A15 CPU clocked at 2.0 GHz and quad-core A7 CPU clocked at 1.7 GHz and a 5.99-inch screen with full HD 1920x1080 resolution display.
