Rumors of a Nokia Lumia device with a 41-megapixel camera, codenamed the EOS, has been parading the Internet for quite some time, but as the months pass by, the rumors begin to look ever so real. A new rumored image of the device found its way to the web, and from what we can tell, if this is indeed the EOS, Nokia could be on the verge of reclaiming its throne.
The new set of images appeared on Chinese site WPDang, seems to hold a potential yellow Lumia with a huge camera opening on the back. That huge camera opening seems to depict this device could very well be the 41-megapixel sharp shooter Windows Phone 8 fans have been waiting for. Furthermore, the device appears to be wider than the Lumia 920, and it comes in the same polycarbonate shell. In addition, wireless charging is not built in; however, the device does have two holes on the back for an attachable wireless charging-enabled cover.
It's not easy to tell if these images are genuine, but take note that the recently announced Lumia 925 was leaked in a similar manner, so there could be some form of truth surrounding these images. We've also heard rumors that the Nokia EOS would launch in July exclusive to AT&T, a move that should make some Windows Phone 8 fans angry.
Not long after WPDang leaked the supposed images of the Nokia EOS, ViziLeaks, a relatively new account on Twitter, posted an image of what the leaker claims to be the EOS. One thing is for certain, this new leaked image matches up well with the ones from WPDang, however, it could also be some quick Photoshop work by a Nokia fan, so don't take it too seriously.
According to the information on the image, the device will include PureView branding, a Carl Zeiss lens, and what appears to be a xenon flash.
