Samsung Galaxy Note 2 owners were facing some issues related to the stability and performance of the device and were waiting for a software update that could fix these minor but important issues. Samsung has finally heard the plight of the Galaxy Note 2 owners and has released a firmware update claiming that it fixes the stability issue in the Galaxy Note 2 devices.
A report from SamMobile states that the update comes with fixes for battery drain, other bugs and some other small issues.
The new firmware is a minor update and takes less than two minutes to install. The new update is available over the air (OTA) and it can also be flashed through the Samsung KIES.
Here are the details of the new firmware:
Model: GT-N7100

Although the new update is going to fix some problems of the Galaxy Note 2 owners, but at the same time, it doesn't come with an Android update. Surely those who have been waiting for Android 4.2 update will be disappointed.
Samsung is rumored to be releasing Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy Note 2 and the Galaxy S3 smartphones in the third quarter.
"According to Samsung, it's a stability update that fixes things like battery drain, bug fixes and other small problems. Android 4.2.2 for the Galaxy Note II and S3 is planned in Q3 together with the new interface of the Galaxy S4," SamsMobile reported.
Earlier, the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy S3 devices was rumored to be coming in November 2013.
