Motorola's Moto X unveiling is just a couple of days away, but leaks continue to surface ahead of the big launch.
The Moto X starred in numerous leaks, rumors and speculations recently and the hype is only intensifying. The rumor mill is far from done with this upcoming device and now a new leak paints a clearer picture of the purported Moto X's design.
Other images allegedly showing the Moto X have leaked before, but this leak offers the clearest photos yet and it may be the final press artwork for the device, showing the final design.
The new leak made its way online courtesy of notorious tipster @evleaks and offers a clear look at the front, sides and rear of the Moto X, showing the device in black and white color options. Evleaks has a good track record when it comes to leaking unannounced devices. While that doesn't guarantee the accuracy of this leak, it does add some credibility.
The Moto X is expected to sport a large 4.7-inch display with on-screen navigation keys and a 720p resolution. Under the hood, the upcoming Motorola smartphone will reportedly pack a dual-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor clocked at 1.7GHz, 2GB of RAM and a 2,200 mAh battery. The handset will also have a 10.5-megapixel rear camera and a 2.1-megapixel front shooter. The Moto X units that have been spotted in testing so far were running on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, but there's still a chance that the smartphone will launch with the latest Android 4.3 Jelly Bean on board.
The specs, however, are not necessarily the main attraction of the much-rumored Moto X. The smartphone is so highly-anticipated due to its expected customization options, as customers will reportedly be able to choose the colors of their Moto X's front and rear plates, as well as engrave the units with a personalized message.
Another very important detail, meanwhile, remains uncertain: pricing. Motorola is expected to launch its first smartphone under Google's wing at an affordable price point.
The Moto X is expected to make its debut on Aug. 1, which means that Motorola will make everything official soon enough. Stay tuned for more details as they emerge.
