The new Samsung Galaxy Note 3 phablet is officially out and the unlocked model will reportedly retail for £599 in the UK.
Samsung finally took the wraps off its highly-anticipated Galaxy Note 3 at the IFA trade show in Berlin, unveiling the phablet's full list of specs and features. The company did not, however, give any pricing details at this point.
While official pricing is not yet available, Unlocked Mobiles has the SIM-free Galaxy Note 3 priced at £598.97 (including VAT) in the UK. The site is already taking pre-orders for the new phablet and lists an expected delivery date as Sept. 26.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is expected to make its debut in the UK on Sept. 25, which means the retailer will have it in stock and will ship the device the very next day to those who pre-order it.
The phablet will be available in three colors at launch: black, white, and pink. Unlocked Mobiles, however, only lists the black and white models, without any mention of the pink version.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 sports a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Under the hood, it packs a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.3GHz, paired with 3GB of RAM for a smooth performance. The smartphone comes in two storage configurations - 32GB and 64GB - expandable via microSD.
"We introduced the original GALAXY Note in 2011 and launched a whole new smart device category. The undeniable success of the GALAXY Note strengthened our conviction that consumers want higher quality features for smart devices and they want those features to make their lives better," boasted JK Shin, Samsung Electronics CEO and President of IT & Mobile Division.
"Samsung GALAXY Note 3 is a powerful, original approach that enables users to tell the stories of their lives through dynamic and seamless expressions of their passions across work, play and life experiences. With a simple click of the S Pen button, users can unlock opportunities for self-expression, features that transform everyday activities into extraordinary events and access to new features delivered to them on Note 3's larger screen."
The new Samsung Galaxy Note 3 phablet is undoubtedly one of the most highly-anticipated devices of this year, and the wait is now almost over. Interested buyers in the UK who don't want to commit to a lengthy carrier agreement and can afford to shell out the full price for the unlocked handset can now pre-order the device from Unlocked Mobiles, or wait until Sept. 25 when the phablet hits store shelves.
