HTC One now just $49.99 on Best Buy, available in silver or blue

The Verizon version of the HTC One now sports a very attractive price tag at Best Buy, as the retailer is now selling it for just $49.

The HTC One is the company's latest flagship and is considered one of the hottest, highest-end Android smartphones currently available on the market. HTC invested not only in top-end features, but also in design and the HTC One received high praise for its elegant unibody metal casing.

While Verizon sure took its time in launching the HTC One, making in available to its customers months after the other carriers started offering the handset, the new HTC flagship finally joined Big Red's lineup a few weeks ago. The carrier is offering the HTC One for $199 on a two-year contract, but Best Buy has a better deal in place.

Many online retailers undercut Verizon's pricing by offering the HTC One for $149.99, but Best Buy is selling the handset for just $49.99 on the standard two-year contract. The retailer is offering the silver and blue color options for the HTC One. The blue version has just launched as an exclusive model through Best Buy.

Interested buyers can head here for the silver HTC One or find the blue version at this link. If you're attracted to the price tag, but not necessarily to the retailer, Amazon is also selling the HTC One for the same $49.99 on contract with Verizon or Sprint. The blue model is not available from Amazon, however.

For those unfamiliar with the handset, the HTC One sports a 4.7-inch Super LCD3 display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a pixel density of 469 pixels per inch (ppi). Under the hood, the smartphone packs a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz and paired with 2GB of RAM. The HTC One comes in either 32GB or 64GB storage configurations and it doesn't have a micro SD card slot for additional memory.

Other specs include a 4-megapixel UltraPixel rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and capable of recording 1080p video, as well as a 2.1-megapixel front-facing shooter for self-shots and video chats. A 2,300 mAh battery keeps things running.
