Verizon's LG G2 is now available for just $39.99 on-contract through Amazon, a considerably lower price than what the carrier is charging.
If you want to purchase the LG G2 from Verizon you will have to shell out $149.99 to get the smartphone on a two-year contract, as that's the carrier's asking price both online and in stores. With more than $100 shaved off, Amazon's new deal is definitely worth considering.
The LG G2 is the phone maker's latest flagship smartphone and has plenty of high-end specs and features to make it worthy of the title. LG launched the LG G2 as the first handset in its new "G Series" of premium smartphones and has packed a punch to make the flagship stand out from the crowd.
The smartphone market is highly competitive and the LG G2 has to stand up to other popular flagships such as the Samsung Galaxy S4, the recently-launched iPhone 5S, the HTC One, and other high-end smartphones.
The LG G2 comes with a 5.2-inch Full HD edge-to-edge display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Such a large display would make it difficult for users to use their smartphone with just one hand, but LG has thought of an innovative way to facilitate one-handed use.
The company has moved the power button and volume rocker to the back of the LG G2 instead of on the side, as found on other smartphones. This allows for a better grip and easy one-handed use of the handset despite its large display. With all keys on the back of the device, LG was also able to make the LG G2 ultra-thin, which is always a plus for any smartphone, not just the large ones.
Other key specs of the LG G2 include a powerful quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.26GHz, 2GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 2.1-megapixel front-facing shooter, and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of the box.
The smartphone also supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, and NFC. A 3,000 mAh battery keeps things running and Verizon's LG G2 also comes with exclusive wireless charging out of the box. The handset comes with 32GB of internal storage capacity.
The Verizon LG G2 is currently available for $149.99 on the carrier's website and retail stores, but Amazon is undercutting Verizon's pricing by offering the same device for just $39.99.
