Motorola has some great news for Moto X fans, as the Moto Maker customization service is now open to all carriers.

The Moto X launched as the first smartphone from Motorola since Google acquired the company, and everyone expected some cool Google greatness all over the smartphone. While the Moto X comes with mid-range specifications, it does have that "it" thing to make it stand out from the crowd. The Moto X comes with advanced customization options that no other smartphone has to offer.

Motorola wanted to allow customers to express their personal style even through their smartphone, so it decided to allow users to customize their own smartphone. The company announced that it would allow users to choose the colors, accents, and more details of their Moto X through a special customization service called Moto Maker.

When the Moto X launched, Moto Maker was exclusive to AT&T in the U.S., leaving the other carriers with only the basic white and black color options of the smartphone. The exclusivity ends now, however, as Motorola has just announced that all major U.S. carriers can now access Moto Maker.

"From your clothes to your car, you express your personal style. Why should your smartphone be any different? Moto X, the first smartphone designed by you and assembled in the USA, is now available for customization on all major U.S. carriers including Verizon Wireless, Sprint, T-Mobile and AT&T," touted Motorola on Monday, Nov. 11.

"Just in time for the holidays, you can now choose to add a custom phrase to the back of your Moto X. With fiber laser technology, you can sign your design like never before. Show your team spirit, sport your nickname or give a gift with the ultimate personal touch by adding this free feature when you customize your Moto X on Moto Maker."

This custom engraving has been a long-awaited feature for the Moto X and it's now available through Moto Maker on all major carriers. This means that instead of jotting down a favorite personal message on a notebook, bag, or getting that motivational reminder tattooed on your skin, you can now engrave it on your smartphone and have it close at all times.

The Moto Maker customization service allows users to customize their device by choosing the front, back and accent colors, the internal storage capacity, accessories, and more. With AT&T's exclusivity finally over, Moto X fans on  Sprint, Verizon and T-Mobile can now customize their handsets as well.
