Motorola has a special deal place for Cyber Monday, as it will offer the unlocked Moto X for $349.99, i.e. $150 less than its regular price tag.

The Moto X will be available for $349.99 off-contract only for one day, Cyber Monday, Dec. 2, after which it will return to its normal $499.99 retail price without a contract.

The Cyber Monday special price will be good for both the Moto Maker -customizable Moto X and the Developer Edition of the handset.

"Thinking about Cyber Monday already? We'll be offering a $150 discount on any off-contract Moto X, including Moto Maker and Dev Edition," Motorola announced on its Google+ page. "Supplies will be limited, so stay tuned for more details."

The Moto X is Motorola's current flagship and is the company's first smartphone under Google's wing. The handset brings some neat specs and features, but its unprecedented and unparalleled customization options were the talk of the town. The Moto X allows for high-customization through the Moto Maker tool, letting users design their own smartphone by choosing from over 2,000 possible combinations.

In terms of specs, the Moto X sports a 4.7-inch high definition display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, packs a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 1.7GHz, has Adreno 320 graphics and 2GB of RAM. The smartphone also features a 10-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter and comes in 16GB or 32GB internal storage configurations. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0 and DLNA.

The Moto X originally shipped with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out of the box, but recently it has received an update to the latest Android 4.4 KitKat.

While many found the Moto X price tag to be a bit steep considering that the smartphone has mid-range specifications, Motorola's new price cut for the unlocked, contract-free version of the handset may attract more buyers. Remember that the deal is only good for Cyber Monday and supplies are limited, so keep an eye on Motorola's website if you want to score the unlocked Moto X for $349.99.
