Amazon has a great deal on the AT&T Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom camera smartphone, selling the device for $49.99 on a new two-year contract.
The Galaxy S4 Zoom is Samsung's take on a camera-centric smartphone, as it comes with a 16-megapixel shooter and some neat camera functionality. The smartphone recently launched on AT&T for $149.99 on a two-year contract, but Amazon is undercutting the carrier's pricing by as much as $100.
While some may still dream of the whopping 41-megapixel sensor on Nokia's Lumia 1020, the Samsung Galaxy S4 is a worthy camera phone as well. First of all, it is the first handset to boast a 10x zoom, and it also sports 25 preset camera modes to help users capture the best possible image. Moreover, it also has a dedicated camera button for quick access to the camera app.
In terms of specifications, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom comes with a 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 540 x 960 and a pixel density of 256 pixels per inch (ppi). It packs a dual-core Samsung Exynos processor clocked at 1.5GHz and paired with 1.5GB of RAM. The smartphone has 16GB of internal storage capacity and a microSD card slot for additional memory of up to 64GB, but Amazon is also throwing in 50GB of free Amazon Cloud Drive storage for one year.
Other specs include the aforementioned 16-megapixel camera with 10x optical zoom, Xenon flash, optical image stabilization (OIS) and full HD video recording capabilities at 30fps, as well as a 1.9-megapixel front shooter. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy (LE), A-GPS, and NFC. The smartphone ships with a 2,300 mAh battery and runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with Samsung's own TouchWiz Nature UX on top.
AT&T launched the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom back in November and is selling the smartphone for $149.99 online and in its retail stores. With Amazon's new deal, interested buyers can now get the same handset for $49.99 when signing a new two-year contract with AT&T. Amazon is also offering free two-day shipping with the order.
