Amazon is now offering the Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 3 for $162.49 when signing a new two-year contract with the carrier.

Samsung has created an entire phablet trend with its Galaxy Note devices, and its latest Galaxy Note 3 is at the top of the lot. The super-sized smartphone comes with advanced specs and features that make it one of the best high-end devices currently available on the market, and a hefty discount aims to make it all the more attractive to potential buyers.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 boasts a massive 5.7-inch full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a pixel density of 386 pixels per inch (ppi). Under the hood, the device rocks the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, along with a solid 3GB of RAM and Adreno 330 graphics. Other specs include a 13-megapixel rear camera with "smart stabilization" and a 2-megapixel front camera. Both cameras sport 1080p full HD video recording capabilities.

The Galaxy Note 3 comes with 32GB of internal storage capacity and a microSD card slot for additional memory of up to 64GB. On the software side, the device runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with Samsung's TouchWiz UI on top. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, NFC, and an IR blaster that allows the Note 3 to serve as a universal remote control with a dedicated program guide. A 3,200 mAh battery keeps things up and running.

Samsung has also added enhanced S Pen stylus functionality with the Galaxy Note 3. The popular S Pen now allows users to write in their own handwriting and the phablet's handwriting recognition engine will translate it into text. Moreover, a new feature now allows users to hover the S Pen above the device's display and get previews of images, messages, emails, and more.

Sprint is currently selling the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 for $249.99 online and in its retail stores, but Amazon is undercutting the carrier's offer. The retailer has the same device priced at $162.49 on a new two-year contract with Sprint. As usual, Amazon is also offering free two-day shipping with the order.
