The smartphone is considered one of the best handsets of 2013 and it boasts high-end specs and features that make it worthy of its flagship title. As with all top-end devices, however, the Samsung Galaxy S4 is normally not so cheap.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 sports a 5-inch full HD AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080, a pixel density of 441 pixels per inch (ppi) and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The smartphone packs a powerful quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and 2GB of RAM and ships with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, upgradeable to Android 4.3 out of the box. Another update to the latest Android 4.4 KitKat is expected in January.

Other specs of the Samsung Galaxy S4 include 16GB of internal storage capacity, a microSD card slot for additional memory of up to 64GB, a high-end 13-megapixel rear camera with auto flash, zero shutter lag, and full HD video recording capabilities, as well as a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and an IR blaster that allows the smartphone to serve as a universal remote control, complete with a dedicated program guide.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 has also received high praise for the Samsung-exclusive goodies it packs, with several neat features designed to provide the best user experience.

As part of a limited-time holiday promotion, Best Buy is now offering the Samsung Galaxy S4 on Verizon Wireless, AT&T, or Sprint, for just $49.99 with a two-year contract extension. To take advantage of this special offer, head over to the retailer's product page for the Galaxy S4, choose your preferred carrier and place your order. Best Buy is also including free shipping.
