Samsung's much rumored "Lite" variant of its flagship phablet, dubbed the Galaxy Note 3 Neo, has leaked in new press renders and will reportedly launch soon.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo hasn't exactly been a well-kept secret, as most of its specifications have already leaked online, painting a pretty clear picture of what to expect. The device has now leaked yet again, this time in some alleged press shots showing the Galaxy Note 3 Neo in all its glory.
The new press shots of the Galaxy Note 3 Neo come from SamMobile, which claims to have received the renders from an unnamed source who works for a Belgian retailer. The device will reportedly go up for pre-order shortly in the country. The source further mentioned that the pre-order page is not yet visible to customers, but it will go live soon.
"A tip sent to us in our inbox by someone working at a Belgian retailer has revealed that the phone's pre-order page is set to go up soon (not viewable for customers just yet), who also managed to get us a few press shots," reports SamMobile. "The pre-order price is rather high at €599, though it's still quite a bit less than the Galaxy Note 3's launch price in Europe, and we're sure it will go down further in a few weeks after launch."
Considering that the Galaxy Note 3 Neo is expected to launch as the cheaper, watered-down version of the flagship Galaxy Note 3, a €599 price tag does seem quite steep. On the other hand, there's also a possibility that this price is just a placeholder and will be adjusted once the pre-order page goes live. Otherwise, the cheaper Galaxy Note 3 model would not be that cheap at all.
Samsung has not confirmed any details about the purported Galaxy Note 3 Neo so far, but plenty of leaks and reports have revealed what to expect. The latest press renders from SamMobile show the phablet's front and rear panel, both of which look very similar to the flagship Galaxy Note 3. The images also confirm that the upcoming device will sport a faux-leather rear cover as well, just like the flagship.
Based on previous reports, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo is expected to feature a 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED display and a Hexa processor consisting of 1.7GHz dual + 1.3GHz quad-core chipsets. Other rumored specs include 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage capacity, a microSD card slot for additional memory, an 8-megapixel rear camera, and a 3,100 mAh battery.
Keep in mind, however, that nothing is confirmed at this point, so it is highly advisable that you take all leaks and reports with a hefty grain of salt until Samsung officially announces its new Galaxy Note 3 Neo.
