The Samsung Galaxy S4 is apparently ready to launch in more variants, with Rose Gold White, Rose Gold Black, and Deep Black models en route with faux-leather backs.
Samsung recently unveiled its new Samsung Galaxy S4 Black Edition and Galaxy S4 Mini Black Edition, which borrow the Galaxy Note 3's more premium leather back plate.
As it turns out, the flagship Samsung Galaxy S4 will receive even more color options with faux-leather back plates. The Rose Gold White and Rose Gold Black variants will reportedly become available on Feb. 6, while the Deep Black model will launch by the end of the month.
"Samsung Electronics strengthens the premium lineup adding GALAXY S4 LTE-A 16GB in a palette of new colours," Samsung Tomorrow announced on its Flickr Page. "Samsung Electronics announced that it releases GALAXY S4 LTE-A in Rose Gold White and Black via three mobile carriers on the 6th, consecutively followed by Deep Black colour version at the end of February. GALAXY S4 LTE-A will now have a total of eight new colours."
The faux-leather back plate has proved to be very popular with the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, adding a more premium look and feel compared to the plastic casing Samsung typically uses for its devices. The Samsung Galaxy S4 originally launched with a plastic casing, but it seems that it will enjoy the faux-leather treatment soon enough.
While the Samsung Galaxy S4 revamp may be welcome by many, all eyes are now turning towards the upcoming Galaxy S5. The next-generation Samsung Galaxy flagship smartphone is expected to debut soon and sport some notable changes and improvements, including a fingerprint scanner.
Samsung has yet to confirm such rumors, but the company has confirmed that it will be holding an "Unpacked 5" press event on Feb. 24 in Barcelona, at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2014. The much-rumored Galaxy S5 is expected to make its debut at the event, but nothing is for certain at this point.
If these reports prove to be true, however, Samsung fans will be able to choose between a revamped Galaxy S4 with faux-leather back casing, or the next-generation Galaxy S5. We'll let you know as soon as we hear something official, so stay tuned.
