Remember the mysterious character in "The Vampire Diaries" season 7 finale that made Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder) and Enzo St. John (Michael Malarkey) evil? It appears that the latest season 8 spoilers have finally revealed who that creature is.

During the last episode of the previous season in May, it can be recalled that a certain kind of demon seemed to have influenced the two characters, especially Damon, to be bad.

However, the identity of the said creature was never revealed.

Is it someone from the past or a new character is about to join the cast?

In an interview with the show's executive producer, Julie Plec, she teased about some "The Vampire Diaries" season 8 spoilers that every fan must look forward to, according to TV Line.

She admitted about being "really excited" with the theme of the new season "which should become very clear the minute [The CW starts] announcing episode titles," although, she failed to name the mysterious creature.

In the latest report of Entertainment Weekly, though, it was shared that Allison Scagliotti will make a comeback at the eighth season's premiere as Georgie, someone who "channels her existential anxieties into a new field of study that will force her to confront her deepest fears,"   the newest "The Vampire Diaries" season 8 spoilers dished.

Is she the mysterious creature?

According to Entertainment Weekly, Scagliotti's character is a research intern whose field of study might help Stefan (Paul Wesley) to find out what truly happened to Damon and Enzo.

Accordingly, Georgie is motivated by a "terrible darkness from her past."

Meanwhile, the actress took to Twitter to tease fans about her return.

"Gosh, thanks for the love everybody,"she tweeted. "I promise not to steer your ships off course. (I don't actually know, I've only seen one script)."

Keep posted for more "The Vampire Diaries" season 8 spoilers before it premieres on Oct. 21 on The CW.
