‘Stranger Things’ Season 2 Spoilers & Update: Upcoming Run Coming This July Along With New Characters and New Revelations

It has been six months since the sci-fi hit "Stranger Things" premiered on Netflix. Reports are now claiming that season 2 has been confirmed to air in July. The upcoming run will reportedly highlight what goes on in the Upside Down.

Details for the upcoming season have been rare, but speculations and predictions are spreading all over the internet. New cast members will reportedly join- Paul Reiser, Linnea Berthelsen, Sean Astin, Dacre Montgomery and Sadie Sink from "American Odyssey."

According to Mirror, it is predicted that Dacre Montgomery will play the role of Billy, Sadie Sink's character's older brother. The 80's setting and overall theme of the first season will continue as well.

"Stranger Things" will have a total of 10 episodes starting with season 2 episode 1 entitled "Madmax" followed by episodes entitled "The Boy Who Came Back To Life," "The Pumpkin Patch," "The Palace," "The Storm," "The Pollywog," "The Secret Cabin," "The Brain" and lastly "The Lost Brother."

Meanwhile, actor David Harbour who plays Chief Hopper in the series shared during a panel discussion at the Fan2Sea Comic Congress that Winona Ryder's character will have a new love interest, Esquire reported. "The cast has recruited new member Sean Astin, he's Winona's new boyfriend much to the chagrin to the Chief of Police," he said.

The actor also revealed that the upcoming season will take place a year after the events of season 1. Several mysteries that happened in the first season will be given answers, such as the return of Will.

As for Barb, a close friend to Nancy that was killed in the early episode of season 1, sources claim that she will be given the spotlight in the first episode of "Stranger Things" season 2. Stay tuned for more details here!
