The TV series "Riverdale" is The CW's most anticipated drama series as it premiered on Jan. 26. The show is based on the popular "Archie" comics, but it introduced a modern version of Archie Andrews, Betty Cooper, Veronica Lodge, Jughead Jones, Cheryl Blossom and Kevin Keller. The trailer of the show's second episode was recently released according to International Business Times.

During the first episode, titled "The River's Edge," Cheryl Blossom was introduced, played by Madelaine Petsch, together with her twin brother Jason as they went on to an early morning boat ride. Moments later, a distraught Cheryl was found and her twin brother went missing.

Meanwhile, Betty Cooper, played by Lili Reinhart, meets Archie Andrews, played by K.J. Apa, for the first time after spending the whole summer. They were in Pop's diner when they met Veronica Lodge, played by Camila Mendes, who recently moved in to Riverdale from New York City.

Betty wants to reveal her feelings to Archie; however, Archie's mind is preoccupied with his new found interest in music. Also, Archie and Ms. Grundy, played by Sarah Habel, have a secret relationship. At the end of the episode, Jason Blossom's body was found on the river with what looks like a bullet wound on his head.

The second episode, titled "A Touch of Evil," will cover new details of Jason's death. Betty will make an effort to fix her relationship with Archie and Jughead, played by Cole Sprouse.

The murder of Jason Blossom has taken over the town of Riverdale as everybody wants to know the identity of the murderer. Cheryl might be in hot waters as she was the last person to see Jason alive. Fans will have to watch the second episode to get the answers they are looking for.

The next episode will air on Feb. 2, 2017. What do you think of "Riverdale?" Write and share your thoughts down below the comments section.
