U.S. Cellular, the eighth largest wireless provider in the U.S., brought Samsung Galaxy Note 2 to its product lineup late last year and now the carrier is launching the 4G LTE-enabled version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 both on its website and in its retail stores.
The 4G Galaxy Note 10.1 will be sold at $499.99 with a data plan ranging from 2 GB to 10 GB per month. The tablet joins U.S. Cellular's product line-up of Samsung's other 4G LTE devices including Galaxy S3, Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy Tab 10.1.
Buyers will have to subscribe to one of the different data plans available to purchase the tablet. The lowest price point is $25 per month for 2GB of data followed by a comparatively better plan of 5GB for $50 per month. The best deal comes at $90 per month for 10 GB, saving a total of $10. There is an offer of 100, 250 and 500 reward points monthly for the three above-mentioned plans, respectively.
The Galaxy Note 10.1 comes to U.S. Cellular with a hefty price tag, as you would be able to purchase it at a lesser price elsewhere. However, if you really want to go for a LTE version of the tablet, U.S. Cellular is your best option. A new customer will be required to sign a two-year contract with the provider. The price of the tablet will go further up to $799.99 without the various discounts.
As far as the specifications are concerned, the Galaxy Note 10.1 is a top of the line Android tablet running on a quad-core 1.4GHz Exynos processor. The device sports a 10.1-inch WXGA LCD screen with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution. The tablet has 2GB of RAM and comes in 16GB/32GB/64GB of storage options. It also offers microSD card support (expandable up to 64GB). It comes with a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash support capable of shooting HD 720p videos and a 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera. The tablet is powered by Google's Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and offers deep personalization elements and extensive sharing functionality.
