The ASUS Zenbook UX305 ultrabook with a low-power Intel Core M Broadwell processor has dropped by the FCC, indicating an imminent U.S. launch.

ASUS unveiled its Zenbook UX305 back in September, and the ultrabook arrives as the company's first laptop to pack an Intel Core M CPU under the hood. The device is thin, light, with good specifications on board, and has raised plenty of interest upon its announcement.

Ultrabook fans who have been waiting for the ASUS Zenbook UX305 to arrive in the U.S. are in for some good news, as the device has just been spotted at the FCC. ASUS has yet to announce launch and pricing details for the device, but the FCC listing suggests that it's ready to make its commercial debut soon.

For those unfamiliar with the device, the ASUS Zenbook UX305 sports a 13.3-inch display with a resolution of 3200 x 1800 pixels and packs an Intel Core M 5Y10 processor under the hood. The low-power processor is the star of the show, as it will offer roughly 10 hours of battery life.

Other specs and features include 256GB of solid state storage, an SD card reader, 3 USB ports, HDMI, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, and Bang & Olufsen speakers for superior audio. In terms of size and design, the ASUS Zenbook UX305 measures half an inch in thickness, weighs in at roughly 2.6 pounds, and comes with an "obsidian stone" metal finish or a white ceramic alloy lid.

As previously mentioned, ASUS has made no official announcement so far regarding its plans to launch the Zenbook UX305 ultrabook in the U.S., and it remains unclear at this point just when it will make its commercial debut or how much it will cost. Considering its specs and features and the impressively long battery life, however, the device will most likely not be cheap.

The FCC certification suggests that an official debut is just around the corner, which means that the device could hit the U.S. by the end of the year. We'll make sure to keep you up to date as soon as more information becomes available in this regards, so stay tuned.
