2014 Moto X Pure Edition now available in 64GB flavor via Moto Maker
Alexandra BurlacuStorage-hungry Motorola fans are in for some good news, as a 64GB Moto X Pure Edition has become available for purchase through Moto Maker.
In a day and age of advanced mobile technology, smartphones would be nothing without the slew of neat apps and functionality they bring to the table. All of that, however, requires a significant amount of storage, and higher-capacity smartphone models are typically in high demand among consumers.
The Moto X Pure Edition has just launched in a higher-capacity version ready to cater to the needs of storage hungry users, as a 64GB model is now available for purchase through Motorola's Moto Maker customization website.
The highly-customizable Moto X drew lots of attention due to the fact that it allows customers to personalize the smartphone they want to purchase, choosing from a wide array of possible options and combinations. The Pure Edition of the handset, meanwhile, throws in another neat bonus: a pure Android experience similar to that of Google Nexus devices.
This means that the Moto X Pure Edition comes pre-installed with Google apps and some of Motorola's own software, but without any of the carrier bloatware and applications. At the same time, a pure Android version also means faster performance and more available storage, as no carrier apps take up space. Moreover, the Moto X Pure Edition also boasts another advantage over the regular version of the smartphone, as it will receive updates faster.
The 64GB Moto X Pure Edition is GSM-enabled and costs $599.99. It's worth pointing out, however, that while AT&T, Verizon, and Republic Wireless appear on the list of Carrier Choices for the handset, those versions are not actually available for purchase. More specifically, when trying to get the 64GB Moto X Pure Edition with one of these carriers, the Moto Maker website says that the option is not available at this point and urges you to change your selection. The 64GB Moto X Pure Edition will, however, come with a T-Mobile SIM card pre-inserted, and will work on both AT&T and T-Mobile's 4G LTE networks. For more information or to order the unlocked Moto X Pure Edition in a 64GB configuration, head over to the Moto Maker website at this link.
