With just a day remaining for the launch event, the Chinese electronics company, Xiaomi, looks all set to release its first ever device, MI Drone. The company recently released a short 20-secon teaser video clip on Youku, China's version of YouTube to offer a quick glimpse of their upcoming device. The reports suggest that the new Xiaomi drone will consist of four propellers, which will consist of angled blades attached to it.
UberGizmo reported that the drone will also include a hanging camera, which when combined with the propellers will be able to twist and rotate and thus, would enable the users to shoot at any desired angle of their choice. Also, the Xiaomi drone will feature 4K video capability and will thus, place the new device in the high-end product category. The reports also suggest that the Xiaomi drone will be made by third-party Chinese manufacturer, FIMI Technology.
In addition to all the specs and features, the rumors suggest that the Xiaomi drone might also be controlled with a special wearable device from anywhere, reported The Verge. The main reason for introducing such feature by the company is assumed to be able to stand out in the tough growing competition.
It is reported that Xiaomi's drone will directly compete with the new DJI Phantom 4 consumer drones and will try to attract a high number of its competitor's regular customers. To cut through the competition, it is also rumored that Xiaomi will introduce its drones at lower prices as compared to DJI.
Xiaomi is launching something tomorrow that's super fly.
