Microsoft has just brought the retail price of Xbox One down, a few days ahead of this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3.
Techradar reported that the tech giant released a number of special discounted Xbox bundles, and consumers can choose to get either the regular black Xbox One or the Special Edition White Xbox One.
Those who wants the white model can choose between the Quantum Break bundle (500GB) and the Gears of War Bundle (500GB), both at $299.
Rainbow Six fans can go with the Rainbox Six Vegas Bundle (1TB), which includes three Rainbow Six games, Vegas, Vegas 2 and Siege. The bundle is priced at $319. A The Division Bundle (1TB) is also available for $349, a $50 drop from its previous $399 price tag.
A Kinect bundle is also available for $349, and comes with Zoo Tycoon, Kinect Sports Rivals and Dance Central Spotlight. The Elite Bundle, which comes with the Xbox One Elite Wireless Controller, is up for grabs for only $449. Microsoft confirms that this is a limited offer only.
So why the sudden price drop from Microsoft? Gamespot speculated that this might be because the tech giant is gearing up for its newer, smaller Xbox One model. It is reported that the new console is due out this year, and there are rumors about Microsoft possibly showcasing this at E3.
Techradar echoed the same report, saying that the tech company is possibly clearing its inventory to make way for the slimmer Xbox One. The tech website also reports that the new model may possibly come with a Chromecast-sized streaming device and a "lunchbox sized" device that gives the console additional features.
In other news, Sony is also rumored to release its new Playstation 4.5 console at E3, but the software company has not confirmed this yet.
