Apple WWDC 2016's Top Announcements: Company's Software LineUp Updated With iOS 10, WatchOS 3
Dheeraj RThe much-awaited Apple WWDC 2016 event kick-started yesterday with the company announcing major updates for all its software. Reports suggested that Apple declared new features and specs for its operating system i.e. iOS 10 with macOS Sierra, watchOS 3, and Siri.
The Verge reported that at the WWDC 2016, the major attraction was the Apple iOS 10, which received 10 new features. The company launched the operating system in developer beta preview version with the original release slated for July 2016.
It is reported that with iOS 10, Apple iPhone users are expected to experience the 3D Touch functionality and redesigned lock screen option with extra interactive notification facility. BGR reported that the iOS 10 Photo app would allow the users to experience enhanced camera facility with facial, object, and scene recognition features.
Further, the company announced that their OS X brand would be rebranded to macOS and it would now be called as macOS Sierra. What Mobile reported that the operating system's beta version would be released in July 2016 with some changes to the Continuity handoff experience and iCloud.
Meanwhile, Apple also announced some updates for Siri, which is expected to totally change the personal digital assistant. There are reports that Siri would enable the users to search for files and perform more functions with Siri for Mac option using voice commands.
PC Advisor reported that the Apple also announced many improvements for its watchOS 3, which will help the Apple Watch apps to open instantly and also will help to update apps in the background. There are reports that the Apple Watch will also feature new functionalities like Reminders and Find My Friend with the help of watchOS 3.
In addition, the company also announced updates for the Apple TV as well during the WWDC 2016 event. The reports suggested that the new update will help users to automatically log into all the compatible network services like HBO Go, Showtime Anytime, etc.
