CNET reported that currently, the Galaxy VR headset is available for $79 via Daily Steals. This means that the price of the Samsung device is far cheaper than that of other VR headsets available in the market like Oculus Rift and HTC Vive.
To add on to the current deal, Daily Steals is also offering many certified totally-revamped Samsung Galaxy smartphones at cheaper prices, which are compatible with the VR headsets. Android Authority reported that the different smartphones which are being sold via the website are Samsung Galaxy Note 5 for $499.99, Samsung Galaxy S6 for $399.99, Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge on sale for $429.99 and Samsung Galaxy S7 for $539.99.
With all the rumors about the growing popularity of the Samsung Gear VR headset, Oculus Rift recently announced that they are going to cross-platform with the Samsung device, Slash Gear reported. The implication of this is that users will be able to play Oculus Rift's game, "Anshar Wars 2," easily.
Furthermore, the game would be the first game from Oculus, which are compatible with the Samsung devices with a one-time payment option. Tech Radar reported that both the VR headsets i.e. Samsung Gear VR and Oculus Rift VR have almost similar functionalities.
Additionally, there are reports that Oculus recently updated its VR store experiences in order to help the gamers to view and preview all the games from either the Samsung Galaxy VR or Oculus Rift headset right from their desktop.
Oculus also recently announced a summer sale for the Samsung gear VR and Oculus Rift game titles such as "Gunjack," "Dreadhalls," "ADR1FT," and"Elite Dangerous: Deluxe Edition." These games are reported to be offered at discount prices until July 5.
