Apple Watch 2 Rumors: Device To Feature Sleeker Design With Facetime Camera?
Dheeraj RThe latest rumors on the Apple Watch 2 hint at the possibility that it will get a total makeover with a sleeker design and exceptional specs and features.
Wareable reported that the Apple Watch 2 would be around 40 percent thinner as compared to its predecessor. With the redesign possibility, few analysts claimed that the new device from the US-based technology giant will also sport many software and hardware upgrades.
The most-rumored functionality of the smartwatch is the selfie camera. Value Walk reported that the Apple Watch 2 might feature a FaceTime camera on the front panel. However, there are no reports on the detailed technical aspects of the camera. The rumors about the selfie camera emerged when few publications claimed that Apple has purchased camera patents for the smartwatch.
On the other hand, there are reports that the new Apple Watch 2 will also sport a longer battery life. N4BB reported that the new gadget from Apple will contain the recently launched WatchOS 3 during last month's WWDC event 2016. The new operating system is rumored to provide improved performance to the smartwatch with a new user interface, similar to an iPhone.
The new wearable is expected to feature many fitness tracking apps and new emergency features, with speculations that users can pair up the gadget with an iPhone to utilize the emergency services. PC Advisor reported that the smartwatch would feature multi-function bands, which would help the users to utilize the gadget in many ways like stand, smart clock, etc.
Moreover, the Apple Watch 2 will most probably be water-poof for swimming purposes. However, the depth of the water the watch can reach remains a secret.
Many analysts have teased that Apple might announce the much-awaited smartwatch in the mid-July or in September along with the iPhone 7.
