Will Rockstar Games Reveal 'Red Dead Redemption 2' At Gamescom After Skipping E3 2016?

Rumors have been circulating about a possible "Red Dead Redemption 2" announcement at this year's Gamescom in August.

"Red Dead Redemption 2" skipped this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo, to the dismay of fans of the series. However, fans may be able to hopefully get a sneak peek of the much anticipated game before this year ends.

It has been recently reported that Rockstar Games' parent company Take-Two will be setting up booths at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany this year, and speculations lead to a possible "Red Dead Redemption 2" reveal.

On top of this, it is also worth noting that Rockstar Games was at Gamescom 2015, albeit in a different way. The developer logo was spotted at the trade show last year, but it was at the business area, and not in the public area as most people expected.

This sighting was posted on Twitter by YouTuber Olli43, and was even uploaded on Youtube when some fans questioned the validity of the image.

Rockstar Games was indeed present at Gamescom 2015, but everything discussed were done behind closed doors, away from the public eye.

There is a huge possibility that Rockstar Games might do this again this year, although these are all merely speculation at this point. Rockstar is notorious for keeping information about their games under wraps.

At the moment, Rockstar is not on the official Exhibitors' list for Gamescom, but parent company Take-Two Interactive is, and will be occupying booths at both hall 4.2 and 6.1.

Take-Two Interactive has a whole slew of upcoming titles that they can possibly show at Gamescom apart from "Red Dead Redemption."

The publisher may possibly showcase the recently announced "Bioshock Collection," upcoming 2K Sports titles like "WWE 2K17" and "NBA 2K17," "Mafia 3," and "Civilization VI."

Just in case you've missed it, "Red Dead Redemption" is now available on the Xbox One as part of Microsoft's Xbox Backward Compatibility Program.
