Sony Xperia X2 Specs, Release Date Rumors: Device To Sport Side Fingerprint Scanner?
Dheeraj RThe new Sony Xperia X2 phone, also labeled as the Sony Xperia XR, is expected to feature many modifications as compared to the recently launched Xperia XA device. Reports claimed that the Japan-based company will launch the new Xperia X2 phone with curve-edged chassis and bigger display screen.
According to the reports from industry tipster @OnLeaks, the leaked rendered images of the upcoming Sony Xperia X2 hinted that it will sport a side power button embedded with the fingerprint sensors. The side button for the fingerprint scanner is expected to enable the users with the ease to unlock their devices.
Furthermore, Tech Radar reported that the new Sony smartphone will sport a 5.1-inch screen with a slimmer build compared to the company's other devices. Also, the smartphone is rumored to feature a Snapdragon 820 chipset and 3 GB RAM with a resolution of 1080 pixels.
It will also consist of a 23-megapixel rear and a 12-megapixel front camera. Both the cameras are expected have 4K video recording capability similar to the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium smartphone. It is also anticipated to consist of a USB Type-C port
In addition, it is rumored that the Sony phone might be priced from $550 to $650. Moreover, reports claimed that the Xperia X2 also has high chances to be priced even higher as it is rumored to be a high-end phone.
Meanwhile, the release date rumors of the new Sony Xperia X2 hinted that the new phone will be launched at the consumer electronics show IFA 2016 in Berlin in September, while others are saying that it might be released in February 2017. However, there is no official update about the release date.
