"Rick and Morty" showrunners Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon are staying on their grind and have teased some new interesting characters coming to the upcoming third season.

On Aug. 17, Wednesday, the official Twitter account of "Rick and Morty" posted two concept art images for the show's third season. The first image revealed that Rick is still in prison, sufficiently long that his garage laboratory is already cleared out.

What's more, the said concept arts also introduced a new character called Gromflamite Prison General. While the prison general was rendered in full color, a sketch of "Rick and Morty" is visible on the left side, seemingly threatened by the new character.

In addition to the aforementioned character, GamenGuide reported that Rick's ex-wife and the mother of Beth Smith will return to the show. Avid viewers may recall that Rick left his wife because he set the importance of his experiments over the safety of his family.

Although there is no word yet with respect to "Rick and Morty" season 3 plot, Movie News Guide claimed that Rick will figure out how to break out of prison and that Summer and Morty Smith will help him implement the plan.

Meanwhile, Adult Swim recently announced the new schedule of "Rick and Morty" season 3 through an Instagram post. However, the network immediately deleted the said post.

As indicated in the deleted Instagram post, the first teaser trailer for "Rick and Morty Season 3" will air early Saturday morning at 12:15 am, right after "The Eric Andre Appear." The inscription peruses, "Get Prepared."

Nonetheless, the teaser trailer unveiling the show's new schedule has yet to be confirmed. Stay tuned for more "Rick and Morty" season 3 news and updates.
