'Gran Turismo Sport' vs 'NASCAR Heat Evolution': A Close Fight Between Two Racing Simulations?

"Gran Turismo Sport," a PlayStation 4 exclusive game is almost a month away before its release, but "NASCAR Heat Evolution comes before it. How will the two racing sims fare with each other and which will win the ultimate race in sales?

While the two games share the same core racing simulation veins, they somehow differ on certain aspects in terms of graphics, mechanics, and other features. We listed down some differences between the based on what we've seen so far.

Graphics

Technobuffalo recently posted official in-game screenshots of "Gran Turismo Sport" for the PlayStation 4. The graphics look extremely detailed and is a very big leap from its predecessor. Cars looks finely remodeled from their real-life counter parts.

Depth of field is very believable as well as the environment, giving the game a very life-like look. Motion blur is also nicely implemented giving even a still shot a nice aesthetic feel.

"NASCAR Heat Evolution" somehow falls a bit short on the graphics department at least when compared head to head with "Gran Turismo Sport."

YouTube user RealRadMan posted the video below, which shows a quick preview of how the game looks like:

Here's a "Gran Turismo Sport" in-game footage for a closer reference:

Classifications

"NASCAR Heat Evolution" belongs in a class that is just one of the many classifications GT Racing. More often than not, these classifications get confusing and have other categories mixed up with others. NASCAR belongs to SUPER GT class.

"Gran Turismo Sport" differs in a way that it doesn't solely focus on one classification. It gets touch-base in almost every class in the GT racing categories, hence more licensed cars gets involved. This spans from GT1 up to GT4 from the series' entire span.

License

One thing that players may find with "Gran Turismo Sport" is the ability to actually get a real motorsport license called The FIA Gran Turismo Digital License. This leverages "Gran Turismo's" involvement with the real-world motorsport industry. A feature not present with any other racing sim including "NASCAR Heat Evolution"

As for the rest, we are yet to see how elements like multiplayer, career mode, and online modes will play out, but be sure to stay tuned as we bring news about "Gran Turismo Sport" and "NASCAR Heat Evolution" once released.
