"Gran Turismo Sport" is going to be playable this weekend during the Tokyo Auto Salon, Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan and Asia announced.

"Gran Turismo Sport" was pegged for the event to be held in Makuhari Messe in Chiba which is also incidentally the venue where Tokyo Game Show was held. Starting on Friday, January 13 and way up to January 15, "Gran Turismo Sport" will be served in a dedicated booth.

DualShockers learned that this marked the first time that "Gran Turismo Sport" will parade in Japan. Much more, PlayStation 4 Pro will push the hands-on event with 4K and HDR support for "Gran Turismo Sport." As if these initial open house isn't enough, Sony will also let gamers experience the fast-paced game through PlayStation VR.

Yes, "Gran Turismo Sport" VR will also tease during Tokyo Auto Salon. Wannabe players just need to grab a numbered ticket that is going to be distributed on-site. This "Gran Turismo Event" is similar to open house that Sony conducted during the recently concluded CES in Las Vegas were VR version was also made available.

Meanwhile, these couple of events just concluded that "Gran Turismo Sport" will release this 2017 albeit lack of exact date when. Logically, three game modes that include campaign, sports and arcade were finished to the point that developer Polyphony Digital and publisher Sony is already confident in series of public free play.

"Gran Turismo Sport" is the thirteenth in the franchise and is the first to release on PlayStation system. Known difference of this current GT compared to predecessors are scrapped dynamic weather and day-night cycle. Polyphony decided to make "Gran Turismo Sport" customizable instead, with players setting the time of day before they enter the race.

"Gran Turismo Sport" players can already pre-order starter kit 3-car pack version. Those who can shell out a bit can opt for "Gran Turismo Sport" Limited Edition Exclusive where 8 cars are available to start with plus $1 million in-game credit and more.
