PlayStation has been massively successful in 2016 when it captured the gaming world but there are still few mistakes that it can fix. Missteps like external attacks on its servers, launch titles that suffered too much dislikes and so on.

Remember when PlayStation gamers sounded like the whole world is ending when PSN went down for almost a month? PlayStation suffered embarrassment over the incident, especially after compromising 77 million accounts teeming with personal details. PlayStation Network fixed the problem that was perpetrated by unscrupulous hackers after exactly 23 days.

Another thing for a change is to allow users change their PlayStation IDs, an issue that is well-covered in PlayStation Forums. If they will do it, gamers who registered in frantic can think of better alias after realizing that they made funny-sounding names. Sadly, PlayStation doesn't allow such - register an embarrassing name and become a laughingstock forever. On the contrary, PlayStation's rival Microsoft Xbox allows one free name change but charge thereafter.

PlayStation can also fix the slow and outdated search function in PS Store. Thanks that PlayStation has huge library and recent games are on the fore of Store. But look for a bit obscure PlayStation titles and search will take forever due to messy layout.

GameSpew made a nice point in another PlayStation need-to-fix problem. Trophy achievements are unbalanced and there are hardcore gamers complaining of unfair valuation. Some PlayStation Network listings are easier than others while some are taking less time to complete, yet all trophies are valued the same. Game difficulty is irrelevant to PlayStation.

Now for the biggest problem that PlayStation have to fix off PSN, the service is becoming a haven of craps without curator looking after. There are more than 4,000 games listed in PlayStation Store and majority of them are just moneymakers for Sony. So with this, a reminder to gamers: research well before purchasing a game from PlayStation Store or end up with a garbage game.
