'Pokémon GO' Bug: A Cause Of Concern For Getting Banned? Other Worse Things May Happen

Just like any other game, "Pokémon GO" also has its fair share of bugs. Still, Niantic is trying its best to clear and fix each and every single one of them. One particular bug right now might be more than just an annoyance to the game's experience, but may even affect other apps in general.

Cameocoder, a redditor, made a bug report for the "Pokémon GO" game. The game had a number of bugs before, but this new reported one stands out as it introduces a problem that affects the game and just about everything else that relies on GPS.

The bug apparently persists with other apps as long as "Pokémon GO" is running in the background. Checking this photo indicates that the app Map My Run displayed rather a very inaccurate display of location on the GPS. Even the paths or roads got messed up too.

Several testing brings the redditor a conclusion that running Map My Run specifically while playing "Pokémon GO" causes a problem with the GPS locking to the device's location.

There aren't any reports on it causing uncalled for bans as Niantic is already aware of the situation and should be fixing the bug asap. The case might even be an isolated one with this particular app only.

What actually happens is that the GPS on the device itself is getting jammed by the bug that the blame is not to be put on Niantic's app itself.

So far, the only reported problem happened with a Google Nexus 5 and Cameocoder never got the same problem with other handsets.

Another bug spotted by redditor rednuhtorg causes Mysitc team gyms impenetrable from attacks. The bug causes the game to freeze or crash when certain Mystic team gyms are tapped. For trainers under the team, this may be a good thing as there's no possible way to take over their gyms until the bug has been patched.

The use of an Android emulator didn't seem to fix the problem either, according from a redditor named InsanePowerMe.

Stay tuned for updates regarding the reported bugs and problems on "Pokémon GO."
