Strategy game "Sid Meier's Civilization 6" is just around the corner, and Firaxis Games is hyping players up with a steady stream of updates leading to the release date.

Among the latest civilzations to be introduced in the game is the Kingdom of Kongo, led by King Alfonso I, also known as Mvemba a Nzinga. According to PC Games N, Nzinga is known for attempting to spread Christianity across his empire.

The introduction of the Kongos is a huge change from the previous "Civilization" games, wherein the the Zulu is the main representation of sub-Saharan Africa, according to iDigitalTimes.

The Kongo civilization gets bonus food, production and gold from Great Works of Sculpture, Relics and Artefacts. The civilization can also generate Great Merchants and Great Artists twice as fast compared to other civilizations.

Kongo's gameplay style is also quite different from the Zulu's military-oriented rush. According to iDigitalTimes, Kongo is meant to be versatile: they can either focus on military rush with its unique unit Ngao Mbeba, or on culture and on other civilization's religion to grow.

Here are all the civilizations we know so far:

America

England

Japan

Egypt

China

Aztec

France

Brazil

Scythia

Germany

Spain

India

Kongo

Norway
