Samsung is a creative producer of smartphones and all though there were new ones coming along, let's try to compare two of Samsung's mid-range Android smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy E7 and the Samsung Galaxy J7 2016.
While the Galaxy E7 is equipped with a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor and Adreno 306 graphics; the Samsung Galaxy J7 2016 sports a Snapdragon 617 Octa processor with Adreno 405 graphics, however, in some regions like India, the phone uses 1.5GHz Exynos 7580 octa-core processor and Mali-T720MP2 GPU, according to GSMArena.
Both devices are said to have a 5.5 inch Super AMOLED display with HD resolution of 720 x 1280 resulting in pixel density of around 267 ppi. The only difference is that the Galaxy E7 features Gorilla Glass for protection.
The Galaxy J7 2016 has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 256GB, through a microSD card, which is definitely an enlargement as compared to the earlier installment. The E7 also has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage but the device is expandable to 64GB with the use of second SIM slot.
Talking about their cameras, there's not much difference as they both have a 13-megapixel rear camera that features autofocus, LED flash 108op video capture and a secondary camera of 5-megapixel. However, the Galaxy J7 2016 has a LED flash for its front camera.
The Samsung Galaxy J7 2016 is powered by a removable battery of 3300mAh that provides up to 23 hours of talk time even with 3G usage and up to 96 hours multimedia playback support which is way better than the Galaxy E7 which features a non-removable battery of 2950 mAh that easily lasts a day with a single charge on normal use. This gives talk time up to 18 hours on 3G which is already decent. However, according to source, the Galaxy J7 2016 is deprived of the fast-charging functionality.
Furthermore, the Galaxy J7 2016 runs on the latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system, while the Galaxy E7 runs the older Android 4.4.4 Kitkat, however, earlier this year the device received its Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update that brings improvements in Android Run Time, flex storage, app menu, app search bar, app standby and many more.
The Galaxy J7 2016 and the Galaxy E7 have similarities so your decision must be based on points that are most important to you.
