'Forza Horizon 3' Better Than Sony's 'Gran Turismo Sport'? Microsoft Game Gets Positive Reviews
C. de LacyThe embargo for "Forza Horizon 3" finally lifted off and anticipating fans will already get a taste and a hint of how the game will be another hit. Here are some of the first hands-on reviews and comparison to other racing sim titles.
Already getting a Metacritic score of 91, "Forza Horizon 3" is shaping up to be the next definition of racing-sim on current-generation consoles, though exclusive for the Xbox One and Microsoft Windows.
Here are some of the notable reviews that "Forza Horizon 3" has, which speaks highly of the game's high points and puts it as one of the toughest contenders for the best racing game.
"Forza Horizon 3," even though not exactly as serious and sim-esque as the other games in the main "Forza" franchise, is still a solid game with lots of things to do. There are different playstyles and approach for each type of cars.
"Forza Horizon 3" is just like the first two games and it is a good thing. The racing-party is still there as well as the varying challenges for every type of racing-sim players.
Based from Trusted Reviews take on the game, "Forza Horizon 3" is almost perfect that their only gripe was the missing throwable turtle shells ("Mario Kart" reference).
There's a huge variation of cars available and all very much customizable. This comes with graphics that is on par, or even better than most racing sims of today including "Gran Turismo Sport" or "NASCAR Heat."
Different terrains also brings variation to each gameplay experience, making players try out different types of cars for certain tracks.
Being bigger, better, and more immersive than its predecessor, "Forza Horizon 3" is an open-world racing game masterpiece. While not exactly the biggest, the Australian outback is possibly the best setting for the game.
Every race can be unique as there's a complete day and night cycle, which can be also controlled through "Horizon Blueprint." This would let players select the time of the day, the weather, the competition and even the name of the race event itself.
Though it may have some slight shortcomings like the difference of Ford vehicles from the US, UK, and Australia, it's not really a deal-breaker for those looking for a magnificent racing experience.
"Forza Horizon 3" will officially be released this coming September 27 on Xbox One and Microsoft Windows.
