Huawei Mate 8 vs Google Nexus 6P Review: The Battle For Phablet Supremacy, Specs & Features Comparison

In terms of dimensions, the Nexus 6P is taller, while the Huawei Mate 8 is wider and denser thanks to the 6-inch display.
When it comes to display, the Nexus 6P seems to be the better performer than the Huawei Mate 8. Its QHD AMOLED display provides a better experience especially for those looking for vibrant and vivid colors, compared to the IPS LCD technology of the Mate 8. With an extra bit of color depth, higher resolution, and the ambient display technology, the Nexus phone is a step above the Huawei, according to Android Authority.
The Nexus 6P comes with octa-core 2 GHz Qualcomm SnapDragon 810 supported by an Adreno 430 CPU and a 3 GB RAM. On the other side, Huawei Mate 8 comes with HiSilicon Kirin 950 Octa-core CPU supported by Mali-T880 GPU and a 3 GB RAM. The Qualcomm Snapdragon is much faster and enjoys better recognition than the HiSilicon Kirin 950.
Although both models come with non-removable batteries, the Huawei Mate 8 has with a much bigger battery capacity than the Nexus 6P.
As far as the camera feature is concerned, the Nexus 6P seems to be the better choice to have in your pockets. With more color depth and larger pixel sizes, the picture quality is better than Huawei Mate 8 especially in dim-lit conditions, according to Tech times.
The dual front -facing speaker setup in the Google Nexus 6P provides a great audio experience than the Mate 8, which has a bottom-mounted speaker.
Both phablets come with 32 and 64 GB built-in storage options with the Nexus 6P providing an additional variant- 128 GB. Unlike Nexus 6p, Mate 8 supports 128 GB of extra storage space with help of the second SIM slot which can also accommodate a microSD card.
Some unique features like USB-C port and front facing speakers are present in the Nexus 6P, which is not included in the Mate 8 model. The Mate 8 will be the only model between two that allows you to listen to FM radio and has a dual-SIM functionality.
The Google Nexus 6P and the Huawei Mate 8 are both impressive and can compete with many rival devices in the market today. Both phones have strong points and it would be up to users to decide the winner between the two.
