Microsoft Surface Pro 5 Rumors: 2017 Release Date On the Cards? Device To Sport New Intel Chipset With Upgraded Windows OS?
Dheeraj RAccording to the latest rumors, the release date of the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is expected to be happening in early 2017. Reports claimed that the delay in the release date is because of the rumored inclusion of the Intel's upcoming Kaby Lake processor in the Microsoft device.
Earlier, there were reports that the fifth installment of the Microsoft Surface Pro will be launched in October 2016. However, iDigital Times reported that the delay in the new Intel processor has touted the 2017 release date for the Microsoft device. It is stated that the new Kaby Lake chipset will provide the Microsoft device with boosted performance.
As far as the specs are concerned, rumors hinted that the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will sport 4K display along with 3,840-pixels resolution, which is expected to be the USP of the new device. However, Neuro Gadget stated that the 4K resolution will not be made available for the basic variant of the device.
Besides, in terms of software specs, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is expected to run on the upcoming upgraded version of the Windows 10 operating system codenamed as the Redstone 2. The new OS is rumored to provide the users with an exceptional interface with enhanced graphics.
Moreover, the Surface Pro 5 might also be made available with more than 16 GB RAM capacity as compared to its predecessor. Reports suggested that the Microsoft device will consist of a 16-megapixel rear and 8-megapixel front camera.
Rumors suggested that the Surface Pro 5 will sport a fingerprint scanner for providing the users with added security. The device is also alleged to consist of the USB Type-C port for faster charging and data transfers.
Additionally, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is rumored to also be launched with a Surface Pen, which might be basically known as the rechargeable stylus. This new digital component is expected to provide the users with a circuit to help them charge their batteries easily by means of one or more terminals on the device.
Lastly, the basic variant of the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is anticipated to be priced for $899, whereas the high-end variant is expected to be made available for around $1800. However, there is no official word on the specs and release date by Microsoft till date.
