Nokia D1C-Nokia Launching Android Smartphones By Late December? Specs & Features
Anish AsokanNokia's return to smartphone market has been one of the biggest news in recent times. Nokia N1 launched in 2015 was a great tablet and surely this around; the expectations are more from the Finnish giant.
With the legal obligations, that restricts Nokia from launching any smartphones no later than December 2016, many anticipated handsets from Finnish company around next year. However, it seems the smartphone models are already in works and we would be seeing some smartphones from Nokia perhaps by late December 2016.
As mentioned in NDTV Gadgets , two Nokia branded Android smartphones were found on GeekBench with one of them named as Nokia D1C. From the available information, it appears that Nokia D1C is expected to be a mid-range level smartphone.
The device seems to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC octa-core processor clocking at 1.4 GHz and coming possibly with Adreno 505 CPU. The RAM capacity looks around to be of 3GB.From what has been gathered so far, the Nokia D1C is expected to run on the latest Android Operating system-Android Nougat with Nokia' Z launcher sitting on the top.
Information pertaining to other features to screen size or camera has not been available. However, as per the GSM Arena, Nokia is working on high-resolution QHD panels for 5.2-inch and 5.5-inch screen sizes. With inference to this leak, we can assume that the new display could be around 5.2-5.5 inches .The phone by all expected means should have powerful cameras.
Rumors suggest that along with Nokia D1C, Nokia is expected to launch at least three other smartphones all of them before the year end. However, no information is yet available on whether Finnish giant would hold any launch event. With Nokia re-entering the market, we can expect some tough competition to other brands as well as some great smartphones in near future.
