According to Neuro Gadget, with Google abandoning the Nexus naming with the new smartphones, there are rumors that the nexus branding may not hold the Nexus name for the new Nexus 7. A rebranding is quite possible.
The most consistent rumors that have been that the Nexus 7 2016 would be manufactured by the Chinese manufacturer Huawei. With only sparse details available so far, the Verge ran a report stating the existence of the tablet. As per the report, the new Nexus 7 seems to be on track for release on or before the end of the year. But the general expectation is that the device would be using the Android Nougat as the Andromeda operating system is premature for time being to be in use for the Google devices.
One of the popular rumors about the upcoming Nexus 7 successor is that it may not be running on the Android operating system but rather on the Andromeda, which is the merger between the Chrome OS and Android. With Andromeda bringing in the desktop capabilities to Android Devices, we could perhaps see new and innovative features in the tablet.
About the upcoming Nexus 7 tablet, there were some information leaks from HuaweiBlog.de. According to the website, the Nexus 7 2016 is expected to be a 7 -inch AMOLED display powered by Snapdragon 820 and Adreno 530. The RAM capacity is anticipated to be of 4GB with base storage offered at around 64 GB.
