Mac Mini 2016 Release Date Set This October 27 With The MacBook Pro? Rumored Specs & Features

It has been more than a year since Mac Mini , one of the most popular products of Apple received an update. Strangely, the Cupertino giant has not provided any details on the product for the longest time and many suspect that these are the early signs for the product line up to be discontinued. However, the smallest desktop Mac from Apple could potentially see some upgrades in the now confirmed Apple Event on October 27, as per Mac Rumors.

According to Mac World , Intel's Kaby Lake processors is attributed as  the  biggest reason behind the delay of the updates .However, if  we do see some upgrades in October  , the probability to see the Sky lake processors under the hood. Still, it would be a significant boost to power compared to current processors of Mac mini- the Haswell processors. There are rumors circulating that perhaps Mac Mini would not receive any upgrades, till the release of the Kaby Lake processors to the market.

Among the anticipated changes, we suspect the design of the Mac mini to undergo some changes as the design has not been changed for a long time. However, a drastic design overhaul is highly unlikely. We could potentially a thinner design for the new Mac minis.

Another feature which could see some changes is the RAM capacity. There could be some upgrades in RAM capacity. Many do not foresee any changes to integrated graphics as the current Mac mini models are doing exceptionally well there.

We might see more flash drive options in the new Mac mini hardware as there are many popular demands for same. USB-C port could also make a cut to the new Mac mini as the same is getting more popular in current Apple products.
