With the October 27 media event now confirmed, there are high speculations and excitement among Apple fans. From all the rumors and leaks reported, it is widely anticipated to see a new redesign MacBook Pro in the event.

Although the MacBook Pro has been one of the most successful Apple products, the upgrades have not been there for a considerable time. MacWorld, which earlier predicted the possibility of new lineups of MacBook Pro, now says that the new MacBook hardware would be having a better display quality, thinner and of lighter design.

There are reports of major updates being done to MacOS Sierra operating system by Apple. According to Tech Radar, Apple seems to be adding new capabilities, tools and features to its own operating system to accommodate the features of MacBook Pro 2016.

The New MacBook Pro 2016 is expected to have a fingerprint sensor, Touch ID sensor, an organic light-emitting diode touch bar and MagSafe-like adapter. The physical keys are expected to be replaced by the OLED screen. With Apple looking to expand the capabilities of the Apple Pay, high expectations revolved around the Touch ID power button in the new MacBook Pros.

As Apple would love to extend the pencil support beyond iPads, we can expect an improved Apple pencil support for the redesigned and revamped MacBook hardware. An improved battery capacity and screen resolution is very much on cards though a possibility of the 4k/5K screens seems to be remote.

For now, under the hoods of the new MacBook Pros, it is much expected to have the sixth generation Sky Lake chips. Reports also suggest of Apple making provisions to the MacBook Pro, possibly introducing the next set of MacBook Pros once the Kaby Lake processors are out in the market. There is some possibility of seeing the Polaris graphic processors from AMD in the new devices.

Speculations are rife that the new MacBook Pro 2016 would be following the path of iPhone 7 in abandoning the standard 3.5 mm headphone jack.

The countdown for the event has begun. Many are hoping to see a MacBook Pro 2016 with eye-catching physical design and powerful specs. Stay tuned for more updates.
