The Huawei Honor 8 and the OnePlus 3 are smartphones launched in 2016. Both handsets come with decent specifications, but which one stands out?

When it comes to design, the OnePlus 3 is taller, slimmer, and wider compared to the Huawei smartphone.  It is also slightly denser, according to NDTV Gadgets.

The OnePlus 3 has a slightly larger display and better  pixels per inch than the Honor 8 smartphone. Huawei Honor 8 comes in five color variants namely black, pink, blue, white and gold whereas OnePlus 3 comes in only gray and gold color variants.

From a processor perspective, the Huawei Honor 8  makes use of 1.8 GHz octa-core Kirin 950 and Mali-T880 MP4 whereas OnePlus 3 is powered by 1.6 GHz Quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 with support from Adreno 530. The OnePlus 3 has better CPU speed than the Huawei model.

The RAM capacity of OnePlus 3 model is higher than that of the Huawei Honor as per Phone Arena. The internal storage capacity of the OnePlus 3 smartphone is twice than that of the  Honor 8 smartphone. However, Honor 8 has expandable storage option unlike the OnePlus 3 model and can provide expandable storage up to 128 GB.

Honor 8 comes with a 12 MP rear camera and a 8 MP front camera whereas the OnePlus 3 comes with 16 MP rear camera and  8 MP front camera. From the specs, the OnePlus 3 looks like the better smartphone for the shutterbugs.

Between the two models, the Huawei Honor 8 is the only model which supports FM Radio.

The OnePlus 3 seems to beat the Honor 8 in most of the categories. It could be a strong choice for users interested in strong specs and also given that the OnePlus 3 currently costs less than the Huawei  smartphone, most may prefer the OnePlus 3. However, with the options of expandable memory, FM Radio support, the Huawei could be the choice for some.
