The three smartphones we have today -- OnePlus 3, Huawei Honor 8, and Apple iPhone 7 -- are the latest and one of the best offerings from respective brands in the smartphone market. They all are priced above the budget range, but do they actually offer premium specs?

The OnePlus 3 and Huawei Honor 8 feature similar display with huge 5.5" and 5.2" display, respectively. The Apple iPhone 7 has the smallest screen with comparatively lesser resolution with 4.7" display.

The OnePlus 3 comes with Optic AMOLED display, protected with Gorilla Glass 4. On the other hand, Honor 8 have LTPS capacitive display and iPhone 7 has LED-backlit IPS LCD display with oleophobic coating. Summing up, Apple has the latest display technology with 3D Touch display.

In terms of performance, the OnePlus 3 features a quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor clocking at 2.15GHz. It has the latest quad-core A10 Fusion processor. Surprisingly, the Honor 8 comes with octa-core Kirin 950 processor with 2.3 GHz clocking speed.

In terms of memory, One Plus 3 leads with 64 GB internal storage with 6 GB RAM, while Honor 8 boasts comparatively 4GB RAM and 32/64 GB internal storage. However, iPhone 7 lags with 2 GB RAM and 31/128/256 GB internal storage. Only Honor 8 have expandable storage up to 256GB, which uses SIM 2 slot.

Both the One plus 3 and Honor 8 have twin sim slot.

In terms of battery, One Plus 3 and Honor 8 packs with similar 3000 mAh battery followed by iPhone 7's 1960 mAH battery. Honor 8 and One Plus 3 have quick charging technology.

The Honor brand leads the photography round with stunning dual 12MP + 12MP (2160p) camera. Comparativley, One Plus 3 have a 16 MP (2160p) rear camera  with LED Flash and iPhone 7 have 12 MP camera. Honor 8 comes with rear dual-LED dual tone Flash while iPhone7 has quad-LED dual tone FLASH. The trio have similar front cameras.

Huawei Honor 8 runs on the latest Android Nougat with its Emotion UI 4.1.  while Apple phone comes with iOS 10. OnePlus 3 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, with its tweaked version of Oxygen OS 3.2.4. Each phone comes with fingerprint sensor.

To conclude, the OnePlus 3 and Honor 8 are fighting nect and neck. The Huawei phone fares ahead in camera, while the OnePlus brand has more RAM. Meanwhile, the iPhone 7 definitely an option for those who enjoy using the iOS.
